well, a day completely alone was far from normal! I don't think I've been without kidlings for years, except when I worked 5 days away at a group home.
I set my self to do work on the house, but as usual it doesn't look like I did a lot. I did, at least, stay working on the house most of the day. I also worked on my translation project with Monday deadline for near 3 hours.
While working on something I talked with Tom Koors for an hour, more than ever. He seemed to be in a mood to talk. He is delaying his DC trip til late August, and hopes to see you all while you're in CA!
I only talked with Hosanna today.the time difference is really challenging if you all aren't available morning or mid-day.
I'd give money for a hug from you all, but a plane ticket of $550 seems a bit much! there's no cheap prices until August 23rd,but if I fly out then you won't hug me either! :)

Friday Work Event 7/12, devotional
I had a pretty full day of work - leaving early for the Gym before a long day with a meeting and then bus driving. I got to talk with Jubilee some in the morning - she woke up at 6:00 CA time.
After dropping everyone off, I went on the massage table at the other gym, and looked at houses available. There are few available in the location I'm looking. God will be the one to make it happen.
It reminded me that the house tenant K came and looked and I think we didn't show it to anyone else. Now she has brought in the people to rent the apartment. We're working less and the money comes in just the same.
Saturday is here tomorrow and it's going to be a challenging day - working, being alone all day, and staying on task.
it sure takes more time to make and clean up food by myself! We really have a team of workers in our kitchen!
God is our provider, counselor and friend.

A young woman described a new freedom by total surrender to God. A few days later, she said she was experiencing less freedom. Bill explained that "as soon as we surrender our lives to God, He will begin working on specific areas and deal with them one by one. She gave a big smile and said, 'That's exactly what is happening.
This is the point at which commitments would be in order. God wants us to commit our friends, money, music, schedule, ambitions, reputation, marriage and possessions to Him. "
Let us keep growing forward and not gaze backwards, but gaze at Him.

Family separated on trip to California July 2013
I arrived back home after sending my family to San Francisco to visit the grandparents for a month. What a sadness to be home but it is not home - it's empty. Especially empty in the girls' room because we moved everything out of it in preparation for moving our house.
I know why I feel a loss, but it's hard to express it. I just heated dinner but now don't feel I can eat.
Jubilee felt anxious and very emotional about being apart this morning and last night. Of course, she has the excitement of being with more family and they're going to have a wonderful time.
I have a lot of important things to do while everyone is gone...

- Find and obtain a job
- Find a rental home near the job
- Move into it
- Make repairs to our apartment
- Make some repairs to the rental house for sale
- Do extra translation work for my company
It's enough to keep me busy, but it is going to make very real the understanding that doing things is not nearly as important as being in relationship with people.
I love you, my family, and pray for a joyous regathering. I'm glad to have lots of pictures on the computer of you. Need to find some photo albums too.
